Hi and welcome to my journey through the vibrant facets of Mexico! My name is Katrin Schrimpf, German by birth and Mexican by heart. I am the co-founder and official face of LaKaAn Travel.

I have been living in Mexico since 2017, almost 6 years of which in the diverse and culturally rich region of Oaxaca. 

With a background in sociology and years of experience in Mexico tourism, I specialize in creating meaningful, deep, healing and transformative travel experiences. I have worked for renowned German travel companies as well as independently, helping people discover Mexico in a unique and authentic way.

I see traveling as a great privilege that we should use to learn from each other and create sustainable encounters for the benefit of all involved – both visitors and local communities.
