Lakaan Travel

Retreat Design in Mexico

You bring the audience and the idea.

We build the retreat around it.

Lakaan Travel designs and executes premium retreats in Mexico for coaches, therapists, artists, facilitators, mentors, and personal brands with an existing message, method, audience, or community.

From concept and pricing to local partners, logistics, and on-site execution.

Who this is for

Your work already has an audience. Now it needs the right setting.

This offer is for retreat hosts who already have something real to bring: a message, a method, a body of work, an audience, or a community.

First-time retreat hosts are welcome. You do not need previous retreat experience. You do need an audience you can reach and an offer people are willing to buy.

What Lakaan Travel helps with

A transformative retreat needs more than a beautiful venue.

Lakaan Travel turns the retreat idea into a clear, sellable, and operationally grounded experience in Mexico.

Concept & Positioning

We turn the initial idea into a retreat with a clear promise, audience, theme, format, and reason to exist.

Pricing & Feasibility

We build a realistic pricing structure around group size, experience level, accommodation, logistics, and margin.

Route & Itinerary

We choose the right region and create a coherent journey rather than a disconnected list of activities.

Local Partner Network

We source and coordinate trusted venues, guides, drivers, artisans, facilitators, cooks, and regional partners.

Operations & Logistics

We manage accommodation, transport, timing, reservations, communication, contingency planning, and participant flow.

On-Site Execution

We run the experience in Mexico so you can focus on the participants, teaching, and leading the retreat.

Why work with Lakaan Travel

You bring the vision. I help make it real in Mexico.

Katrin studied sociology and worked as a data researcher in Germany before moving to Mexico in 2017. There, she began working as a tour guide for German travel agencies and designing experiences that brought people closer to the places, cultures, and communities they were visiting.

In 2024, she founded Lakaan Travel to create journeys and retreats with more depth, intention, and personal relevance. Along the way, she built a trusted network of local partners and learned what it takes to turn a strong idea into an experience that works on the ground.

Katrin also runs a personal branding agency, so she understands that a retreat is part of a bigger body of work. It needs to fit the host’s message, speak to their audience, and feel unmistakably theirs.

Testimonials

“Katrin helped me turn the idea of an art retreat in Oaxaca into reality.”

After traveling to Oaxaca and experiencing the creative energy that place holds as an artist, I came up with the idea of hosting an art retreat for my artist community there.

Katrin helped me bring this dream to life and created a very special itinerary through her amazing network of local artists and artisans, as well as her profound understanding of the area and culture.

Together, we created an 8-day experience focused on paper making and art that not only inspired our retreat guests, but changed their approach to the materials they use and the connection to themselves and their creations.

The first Oaxaca Art Retreat went so well that we offered a second edition, which sold out very quickly.

Paula Hartmann - Paper Artist, Toronto, Canada - Retreat Design

“This was not a typical tourist trip.”

I was part of the Queen Rising Mexico journey in April 2026.

At first, I thought I was simply doing something a little crazy. I had no idea how intense this journey would become for me.

This retreat was not a typical tourist trip. Every place we visited, every person we met, and every experience we had was intentionally chosen — to face our fears, learn to let go of control, and trust.

Through this journey, I discovered completely new facets of myself. I realized what I am capable of and what it actually means to feel.

The encounter with the Mazatec healer Carmen in the mountains of Oaxaca, the cave expedition, dolphins in the Pacific, the cacao ceremony with a fire on a quiet beach — these are experiences I am deeply grateful for, and their value is hard to measure in money.

This journey truly did something with me.
